Workshop on Higher Education held at Munghate College.

Gadchiroli Oct. 3 (District Correspondent) Employment Guidance Center of Shree Govindrao Munghate Arts and Science College, Kurkheda had organized   a one-day workshop on the topic ‘Higher Education in Changing Times’ in association with Gyanjyoti Competitive Examination Training Center, Kurkheda and Eklavya Academy Yavatmal at the auditorium of the College.

The workshop was presided over by the principal of the college, Dr. Rajabhau Munghate. Ms. Shubhada Deshmukh, social worker, Smita Tatewar, Vaibhav Gingule, Parmeshwar Jogdande of Eklavya Academy Yavatmal were present as the chief guide.

Principal Dr. Munghate said that the students of the college should take the benefit of this kind of workshop and prepare for the competitive examination. For this, the college has a separate competitive examination center through which many mentors from Maharashtra are invited.

Ms. Deshmukh appreciated the college for organizing this workshop and appealed to the students to take advantage of this.

The workshop included guidance on higher education opportunities in reputed educational institutions of India and abroad, guidance and counselling keeping in mind rural and first-generation students, opportunity to directly interact with mentors and students from various reputed universities of India and abroad, group discussions and group-based activity sessions.

The workshop was characterized by continuous guidance to the participating students.  Mr. Jogdand said that planned study and positive outlook is necessary for the competitive examination. He said that it should start from school life itself.

Vaibhav Gingule said that the students should find out what are the sources of knowledge and from where it can be obtained. Smita Tatewar gave information about Eklavya Academy Yavatmal and said that in order to succeed in the competitive examination, consistency should be maintained and the fact that I am from a rural area should be kept aside and a positive vision should be kept in the mind. If one studies in a planned manner without fear, success will surely come within one’s reach, she added.

Dinesh Deshmukh informed about Gnyanjyoti Competitive Exam Training Center adding that guidance on Competitive Exams is given in digital form at a very reasonable rate. He appealed to the students to take advantage of it.

Dr. Sanjay Mahajan made an introductory speech, Dr. Deepak Bansod introduced the guests, Dr. Rabindra Vikhar conducted the programme and Dinesh Deshmukh, coordinator of Gnyanjyoti proposed the vote of thanks. The workshop was attended by a large number of students from the area.
