Gadchiroli Oct. 2 (District Correspondent) Mr. Kumar Ashirwad, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad was felicitated by the education department officials for his initiative in Fulora and nutrition programmes.
Block Development of Gadchiroli Panchayat Samiti Dhananjay Salwe, Block Education Officer U N. Raut, Assistant Administration Officer Ms. Patkamwar, Extension Officer (Education) N. S. Kumre, Junior Administration Officer F S Lanjewar met the CEO in his office and presented him a memento in recognition of his services.
Mr. Ashirwad has sown the seeds of educational revolution in Gadchiroli district by implementing the innovative Phulora programme to improve the quality of education. He also conducted special diet plan to reduce the malnutrition among the children. This reduced the rate of malnutrition to over 50 in the district.
Taking note of this substantial and excellent work, the officials of the education department honored the CEO by presenting him bouquet of flowers and a memento.
It should be mentioned here that the central government has also taken cognizance of the Fulora programme and the officers had personally visited the district to inspect it few months back.
