Dr. Pramod Salwe addressing the press conference

Gadchiroli March 4 (District Correspondent) Dr. Pramod Salwe, Director of Salwe Nursing College and State Secretary of Doctors Cell of Maharashtra Congress has demanded stern action against Mr. Vinod Patole, resident of Nagpur and brother of MPCC chief Nana Patole and his accomplishes for trying to kidnap and threatening to kill him.

Addressing a press conference at the Press club here this morning, Dr. Salwe told that when he was heading towards Gadhiroli from Chatgaon by his car at around 4 pm on Friday, Patole and his men including retired police office Mandalwar, Chhgan Shedmake and Sumit Kothari stopped my car near village Bodli. Two persons got down from the car of Patole and forced upon me to push into their car. They also threatened to kill me.

However, I managed to escape somehow and straightway rushed to police station, Gadchiroli and lodged the complaint, Dr. Salwe further told.

I had made an oral deal of the Rice Mill of my younger sister with Mr. Patole on the condition of making the full payment within six months. But even after two and half years of the said deal Patole did not pay the amount hence, I sent him a notice to inform that the deal has been cancelled.

Enraged over this, Patole tried to kidnap me with the help of his accomplishes, told Dr. Salwe. He has also sought protection saying that he has a threat of his life from Patole and his companions. The residents of village Chatgaon were also present during the press conference.

PATOLE REFUTES CHARGES- Meanwhile Mr. Patole, in another press conference refuted the allegations levelled by Dr. Salwe saying they are false. It is true that I stopped the car of Dr. Salwe near Bodli village because he was not responding my calls but did not try to kidnap or threaten him. We had some talk about the deal and then Salwe went ahead, after which we also proceeded to our destination, he told. Mr. Mandalwar, Chhagan Shedmake and others were present at the press conference.
