Gadchiroli Dec. 26 (District correspondent) A statue of Veer Baburao Shedmake and also the statues of Pahandi Pari Kupar Lingo and Salla Gangra were unveiled at village Gattepayli in Dhanora taluka at the hands of Mr. Ashok Nete, Member of Parliament the other day.
Gotul Samiti of Gattepayli had organized this programme. BJP District General Secretary Prakash Gedam, Kanhoji Lohambare, Gotul Committee President Ashok Usendi, Vice President Sukru Jumanake, Sarpanch Dudharam Parse were prominently present.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Nete said that Veer Baburao Shedmake bravely fought for the country and sacrificed his life in the freedom struggle. The entire society should be proud of the brave men like Veer Baburao who were born in the soil of our country, he added.
Mr. Prakash Gedam threw light on the life history of Veer Baburao and his heroic deeds calling upon the youths to take inspiration from his life and work for the country and the society. Brave men like Veer Baburao are rarely born and they must be honoured, he stated.
Also present on the occasion were Mr. Ramdas Gawande, Kashinath Hichami, Diwakar Bomanwar, Gunwant Shende, Nagina Kulmethe, Minatai Marape, Minatai Jumanake and a large number of tribal brothers, youths and citizens.
