Gadchiroli Nov. 24 (District Correspondent) Well known tribal activist and litterateur Vasantrao Kulsange participated in the national tribal conclave –‘Sanvaad -23’ organized by Tata Steel Foundation at Tatanagar in Jharkhand recently.

The five-day conclave was organized to mark the birth anniversary of tribal revolutionary Birsa Munda to interact with the tribals and understand their problems as well as their culture.

Mr. Kulsange delivered a lecture on the burning issues of tribals in this conclave and put forward their jal-jangal-jameen struggle attracting the attention of the government. He also presented a self-composed poem on Ravana which evoked tremendous response from the audience.

Considering the work and struggle being done by Mr. Kulsange for the tribals, their culture and tradition, he was invited for this conclave in which representatives from 28 states of the country had participated along with their traditional attires. Mr. Kulsange also interacted with the other representatives and understood their views on the tribal issues.

The conclave was quite useful for understanding the tribal issues from the different states and having a friendly dialogue with them, Mr. Kulsange said. The cultural programmes also were presented in the conclave and put forward their thoughts about the tribals.

Along with Mr. Kulsange, other tribal activists- Dr. Chinna Mahaka Dadaram Kusramfrom Bhamragad, Ankush kokode from angara, Mahesh Kumre-Jamgaon, Premkumar Chuke-Angara, Gangadhar shedmake-Weltur, Shantabai Yerme-Gadchiroli, Bali Mahaka-Pengunda also had participated in the conclave.
