Gadchiroli Jan. 29 (District Correspondent) The 10th death anniversary of noted Sarvodaya leader Prof. Thakurdas Bang was observed at SEARCH headquarters near here the other day.
Mr. Chandan Pal, President of Sarva Seva Sangh, Dr. Abhay Bang and Dr. Rani Bang, founders of SEARCH organization laid flowers on the memorial and paid their tributes to the departed leader. The program began with congregational prayer from Ishavasyopanishad and Gandhiji’s beloved bhajan ‘Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye’.
The chief guest of this program was Mr. Chandan Pal, President of Sarva Seva Sangh. Exhorting all the companions of the search, he remembered Thakurdas Bang in his conversation. Stating that his conduct, thoughts, self-control and intelligence were supernatural, he mentioned that a mixture of Gandhiji, Vinoba and Jayaprakash ji was visible in Bang Saheb.
Dr. Abhay Bang, in his own words put the memories associated with his father in front of everyone. The program was moderated by Search worker Tushar Khorgade.
On the occasion a thought research program was also organized. The three search workers informed everyone about what they learned from the books they had read. In the end all the search workers were given Vinoba and Gandhi’s books to read.
