Gadchiroli Sept. 13 (District Correspondent) Rich tributes were paid to Com. Sitaram Yechury the General Secretary of Marxist Communist Party and former MP of Rajya Sabha by the Left Front and India Front at Shahid Bhagat Singh Chowk Armori this afternoon.
Dr. Mahesh Kopulwar, state member of CPI, Sandeep Thakur of Nationalist Congress Party, Dr. Ashis Koreti of Congress Party, Com. Amol Markwar of CPM, were prominently present on the occasion. Two minutes silence was observed in memory of late Mr. Yechury.
Com. Sitaram Yechury was a big face in Indian politics. His political career started when he was still a student. He was active in the student movement. He had great study on social and economic issues in India. Even national leaders like Rahul Gandhi used to discuss the problems of the country with him. Left parties have suffered a lot due to his death, said the leaders while expressing their condolences.
Mr. Shubham Patil, Nitin Bhowte, Prashant Khobragade, Meenakshi Selokar, Yojana Meshram, Ankush Gadve, Sarang Jabule, Srikanth Atla, Bhagwan Raut, Kishan Raut, Jiali Khan and other workers colleagues were present on the occasion.
