Gadchiroli Dec. 3 (District correspondent) Thenks to the efforts made by former minister of state Raje Ambrishrao Atram, the forest land encroached upon by the people in mulchera taluka will now be measured by the government and the se encroachers will be getting 7-12 extracts of the lands. The Forest minister Sudhir Mungantiwar has accorded his sanction to this land measuring work recently.

According to information given by Mr. Atram’s office, out of 69 villages in the Mulchera taluka, 22 villages are with Bengali community majority. Bengali people of 5 villages in this area have been encroaching on forest department land for their livelihood for the past several years. However, they have not received the 7-12 records from the government. The concerned farmers had submitted various memorandums at the administration level to measure the encroached land and get the 7-12 record. But this was consistently ignored.

When the issue came to the notice of the former Minister of State and Guardian Minister of the district Raje Ambrishrao Atram, he raised the issue with the forest department and made the regular follow up for this. The efforts of Raje Amrishrao finally bore fruits and the Forest Minister of Maharashtra State Sudhir Mungantiwar gave his sanction to the demand.

The government has given its approval to enumerate the land of the Bengali community people in 5 villages of Vishwanathnagar, Laxmipur, Vijayanagar, Gandhinagar and Kalinagar under Markada Forest Range in Mulchera Taluka.

Accepting the demand of the Bengali people, the government has given instructions to enumerate the agricultural land of the encroacher farmers in 5 villages of the taluka through the land records office. Due to this, the aggrieved farmers of the taluka have got relief. All the farmers have thanked Raje Ambrishrao for his efforts into the matter.
