Gadchiroli Oct. 21 (District Correspondent) The residents of village Sakhra near here will now get the purified mineral water as a new RO Plant has been installed in the village by the gram panchayat with the help of private organizations Samvid International Private Ltd., Natraj Niketan Sanstha, Maitri Pariwar and Haldiram Trust recently.
The residents of the village have been issued ATM cards to fetch the drinking water in nominal rates. The plant is easily accessible to the villagers as it is located in the central place of the village. SPARSH Sanstha played key role in getting this plant.
The plant was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Kishor Mankar, Conservator of Forest by cutting a ribbon. Ms. Mangalatai Patrikar, President of Natraj Niketan Sanstha, presided while Mr. Mukund Patrikar, Managing Director of Samvid International, Nikhil Vyas, Director, Dr. Dilip Barsagade, President of SPARSH Sanstha, Mahendra Ganwir, Tehsildar of Gadchiroli, Marotrao Ichodkar, Vilas Dashmukhe, former Chairman and Dy. Chairman of Panchayat Samiti, Rohidas Raut, journalist were prominently present as the chief guests.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Mankar appreciated the initiative of the village panchayat and the private organizations in installing the water plant and appealed the villagers to avail the benefit. Pure drinking water is must for the good health and every villager should remain cautious about their intake of drinking water, he stated.
Ms. Patrikar said it is a matter of immense joy and satisfaction for the organizations to provide the water plant to the village. We are doing this out of our duty and commitment towards the society and plan to provide such plants to few more villagers, she told.
The other guests also spoke on the occasion and congratulated the villagers and the village panchayat for this plant. They hoped that the new plant will be very useful for the villagers.
At the outset Mr. Punyawan Sorte, Sarpancha of the Gram Panchayat delivered an introductory speech and gave the details of the plant. The long-awaited need of the villagers has been fulfilled by this plant, he said. Ms. Sangita bhadke conducted the programme and Hemant Sahare, former Sarpancha proposed the vote of thanks.
Also present at the programme were Mr. Hansraj Undirwade, Ms. Archana Borkute, Neeta Sahare, Jyoti Undirwade, Waman Bhanarkar, Moreswar Gaikwad, Gram Sewak Jilapelli and others besides village panchayat members and large number of villagers.
