Gadchiroli Oct. 21 (District Correspondent) ‘Deeksharambha’ (Induction) programme of the Mass Communication department of the Gondwana University was held recently in the auditorium of the University here the other day.
The programme was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Priya Gedam, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. Dr. Rajni Wadhai Coordinator, Department of Mass Communication presided over the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Priya Gedam said that creativity is an inherent quality of students which guides students to succeed in their life. Every student is gifted. They only need a specific guidance and mass communication is a field that provides a platform to students’ arts and skill, she noted.
Dr.Rajni Wadhai in her presidential speech said that while moving into the future, there is a need for various skill development. Since the teaching-learning process in the university is student-cantered, the institute plays an important role in the development of various talents. She advised the students to move towards the future with a sense of responsibility.
Students were given an opportunity to showcase their talent in the program. While expressing their thoughts, students spoke about what is expected from the department. Also on this occasion, Sanjay Sapre was felicitated for winning the second place in photography competitions in the ‘Inter College Cultural Competition: Indradhanushya-2022’ held recently in the University.
Introduction of the program was done by Dr. Rupali Alone, Assistant Professor Department of Mass Communication. Amit Kumar Rathod M. A. First Year student conducted the program while Hemant Dudhbaware proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme was organized under the guidance Gondwana University Pro VC Dr. Shriram Kawle. For the success of the program, Dr. Rupali Alone and Prof. Gauri Thackeray took pains.
