Gadchiroli Feb. 13 (District Correspondent) As many as 69 pending cases and 1877 pre admitted cases were settled as well as recovery of Rs. 2.10 crores was made in the National Lok Adalat held at the district Court here the other day that was organized according to the directions of the National Legal Services Authority and Delhi High Court.

Different cases including civil and criminal cases, land acquisition cases, family cases, motor vehicle accident claim cases, bank related cases and telephone, mobile company related disputes, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company cases, credit society related cases, Municipal Council tax cases etc. were disposed off through mutual compromise.

A total of 31 cases were settled by special drives. In a case of matrimonial dispute, the husband and wife settled their dispute amicably and the couple was felicitated at the hands of District Judge-1 and Additional Sessions Judge, U.M. Mudholkar by giving them saree and shawl.

The Lok Adalat was organized under the supervision of Chief District and Sessions Judge and Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, U.M. Mudholkar and Secretary District Legal Services Authority, R.R. Patil.

Civil Judge (Senior Division) and Chief Judicial Magistrate, M. R. Washimkar, Associate Civil Judge and Magistrate C. P Raghuvanshi worked on the panels. Ms. N.C.Sorte from Third Associate Civil Judge’s office and the officials of the police department made necessary arrangements for this Lok Adalat.
