Gadchiroli Aug. 2 (District Correspondent) The revenue officials from the village level to senior cadres in the district, are committed to serve the public. Revenue department is a major department which is useful for keeping records from birth to death of a person. That is why the employees of the revenue department have a very big role to make the district progress, asserted District Collector Sanjay Meena.
He was speaking at the Revenue Day programme that was celebrated at the Collectorate here on Monday. Additional Superintendent of Police Kumar Chinta, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Kanse, Deputy Collector Prasenjit Pradhan, Tehsildar Mohan Tikle, Sunil Saudane, Planning Officer Khadtkar, Tehsildar Sanjay Ramteke were mainly present.
On this occasion, the collector said, even while doing their routine work, the revenue employees perform the work of elections too with great enthusiasm besides working during the event of calamities occurring in the district tirelessly.
Revenue week has started in the entire state from Monday. Various activities including Youth dialogue, one hand of help, Jansamvad revenue court, we for the soldiers, dialogue program with the retired employees in revenue department, etc have been organized during the week. The revenue week will conclude on August 7th.
On this occasion, staff members who have done excellent work in the revenue department were honoured with certificates of honour. They included Naib Tehsildar D. S. Thakre, Retired Tehsildar Sanjay Ramteke, Circle Officer R. S. Gorewar, Head Clerk Mamta Shende, Personal Assistant Pravin Gujjanwar, Naib Tehsildar Amol Gaware, C. H. Chimalwar.
On this occasion, Collector Sanjay Meena distributed ration cards to citizens, certificate of nationality and domicile, certificate of monthly assistance to the beneficiaries under Sanjay Gandhi Yojana and Shravanbal Yojana. All the dignitaries present wished all the employees on the occasion of Revenue Day.
The program was conducted by Mr. D.M. Dahikar while Amol Gavare proposed the vote of thanks. A large number of officials and beneficiaries were present on the occasion.
