Gadchiroli Sept. 6 (District Correspondent) All Indian Republican Party workers visited village Churchura near Gadchiroli the other day and consoled the family members of the village woman Parvatabai Chaudhari who was killed in tiger attack recently.
Central Vice President of the party Rohidas Raut talked to the husband and sons of the deceased woman about the tragedy and demanded that the man eater tiger be caged soon to give immediate relief to the people. It should be ensured that no such incidents take place in the future, he also demanded. The kins of the woman be given early compensation . This was the third death in tiger attack in village Churchura within a year.
The villagers are very much frightened and equally disappointed over these growing incidents of the tiger attack, said the villagers and urged the leaders to raise this issue with the higher authorities.
The woman was financially very poor and was living in a community hall of the village in want of own house. She was earning her livelihood by rearing the village cattle along with her husband, it was told on the occasion. The woman was attacked by the tiger in the forest near the village when she had gone there to graze the cattle.
Mr. Raut assured the villagers that Republican Party will stand behind them and the issue will be brought to the notice of the forest authorities. Mr. Hansraj Undirwade, General Secretary of the Republican Party, Ashok Khobragade, Office Secretary, Hemaji Sahare, Taluka vice President, Namdeo Khobragade, Bhimrao Kose, Bhupesh Lonare senior workers were present during this visit besides many villagers.
