Gadchiroli Jan. 5 (District Correspondent) A personality development camp was organized by Samidha College of Civil Services at the college auditorium to mark the birth anniversary of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule the other day.
Ms. Reema Wankhede, well known public speaking coach was the special guest. The program was presided over by Principal Manoj Dholne, and Prof. Ankush Gohane, Prof. Pritam Kohpare, and Prof. Vinod Kunghadkar were prominently present.
As the chief guest, Ms. Reema Wankhede shed light on Savitribai Phule’s life and advised the students to set goals and work towards achieving them. Inner qualities, social commitment and readiness to serve the people are the most important qualities for any person to develop his overall personality and the students should work in that direction, she advised.
The services rendered by the great social reformers are quite important and those services should always be eyes to march forward to achieve success in life, Ms. Wankhede further stated.
In his presidential address, Prin. Manoj Dholne advised the students to read regularly, study diligently, cultivate self-confidence, and serve society and the nation by joining the government administration.
On this occasion, many students also delivered their speeches, songs, and poems about Savitribai Phule’s life. Ms. Sweety Bawne, Lankesh Undirwade, Khushbu Waghdhare, Achal Ade, Roshni Meshram, and Suhani Ramteke expressed their thoughts.
The introductory remarks were given by Prof. Ankush Gohne. The program was compered by Ms. Shivani Shende, and the vote of thanks was given by Lankesh Undirwade. The students gave an overwhelming and positive response to the program.
