Gadchiroli Nov. 5 (District correspondent) Former Minister of state Raje Ambrishrao Atram toured several villages in Aheri Assembly area recently and understood the problems of the villagers.
Mr. Atram visited the most remote places like Rajaram (Khandla) in Aheri taluka, Jambhiya (Gatta) in Etapalli taluka, Nagulwadi, Halewara and Botanpundi, Irdumme, Madveli in Bhamragarh taluka and Kotapalli in Sironcha taluka during this tour and talked to the villagers and enquired about their difficulties. The villagers welcomed Mr. Atram enthusiastically by playing drums, offering flowers and taking processions. They also narrated their problems to him urging the leader to get them solved.
Raje held many corner meetings in these villages and addressed the people.In his speech, Raje Atram said that all of us should not succumb to the temptations of the opponents in the Gram Panchayat Elections and elect our candidates with a majority, so that all the problems in the villages and the area will be solved in the coming times. Everyone should wake up, today our party is in power in Maharashtra and in the country, so we will not face any problem. I stand firmly with you in getting the problems solved at the government level, he promised.
He also called upon the villagers to exercise their franchise during all the elections and cooperate in strengthening democracy of the country. All the elections, beginning from the Gram Panchayat to the Lok Sabha are very important for this, he pointed out.
The local level problems of drains, roads, electricity and water supply will be solved soon and we will develop all the villages, he assured. The Sarpanchas, party workers and eminent citizens attended these meetings in large numbers.
