Gadchiroli Dec. 7 (District Correspondent) The Pragatik Paksh Aghadi comprising opposition parties has now decided to hold a public meeting in Gadchiroli instead of morcha on Dec. 9 next because the police have not given permission to the morcha.
This has been informed by Mr. Ramdas Jarate, leader of PWP and convenor of the meeting.
The delegation of the Pragatik Paksh leaders had met the Superintendent of Police Mr. Neelotpal in his office recently to discuss about the permission as the Gadchiroli Police Station had already denied its permission to the morcha. The SP also told the leaders that no permission can be granted for the morcha.
Finally, it was agreed upon to organize a public meeting. Accordingly, the meeting will take place at Abhinav Lawns Hall on Chandrapur road which will be addressed by the state level leaders and MLAs of the various parties attached with the Pragatik Paksh, it has been informed.
The grand preparations are being done for the said meeting by all the constituents of the Pragatik Paksh which include PWP, CPI, CPM, BRSP, Republican Party, Samajwadi Party, Gondwana Gantantra Party, Swabhimani Shetkari Sangathana, Adiwasi Yuwa vikas Parishad and other local organizations.
Mr. Jayant Patil, Com. Ashok Dhawle, Dr. Bhalchandra Kango, Raju Shetti, Abu Asim Azmi, Dr. suresh Mane, Balasaheb Khobragade and Harishdada Uike are the prominent leaders who will address the public meeting. Various important issues relating to the citizens of the district are to be discussed in this public meeting, it has been informed by Mr. Jarate, Dr. Mahesh Kopulwar, Rohidas Raut, Amol Marakwar, Raj Bansod, Prashant Madavi, Vinod Madavi and others.
