Gadchiroli Aug. 27 (District Correspondent) Yorma Mayra Agro Tourism of village Nawargaon near here has been accorded approval by the state government as the agro- tourism centre. The department of Tourism Development has issued the certificate of registration to the management of this Centre.

The Dy. Director of Tourism department Mr. Prashant Sawai recently handed over the registration certificate to the owner of the Centre Ms. Manjusha Yogendra Modak. This is the first such agro -tourism Centre in the district of Gadchiroli.

The agro-tourism Centre situated near village Nawargaon (Porla) in Gadchiroli taluka, around 13 kilometres from the district head quarters of Gadchiroli on Gadchiroli- Armori highway. In a very short period of time this Centre has become the place of attraction for the tourists and the visitors because of its natural beauty and a museum developed inside the Centre. The Nawab of Porla has donated his antique items to this museum. Many of the foreign tourists also have visited this Centre in the past.

Attractive wooden sculpture and paintings created by Mr. Yogendra Modak add to the uniqueness of this Centre. A high tower raised in the premises helps the visitors to watch the wild animals, birds and the natural beauty surrounding the Centre.

The arrangement of the visitors’ meals has also been made in the Centre where fresh meals are provided in the traditional village style. Ms. Manjusha Modak has expressed joy over the recognition of this Centre by the state government and has decided to develop it more in the coming days.
