MSEDCL senior technician in ACB net.

Gadchiroli Jan. 14 (District Correspondent) Senior Technician of MSEDCL, Armori (Rural) one Mahendra Bagde (36) was caught red handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting a bribe of Rs. 1,5000.

According to ACB, a farmer from village Wairagad in Armori taluka wanted power supply in his field for which survey was conducted by the MSEDCL officials. At least 4 electric poles were required for the said power supply. However, Bagde demanded a bribe of Rs. 5,000 from the said farmer to reduce the number of poles to 3. The amount was then settled in Rs. 1,500.

The farmer however did not want to give the bribe money and he lodged a complaint with the ACB office of Gadchiroli. The Inspector of ACB Shivaji Rathod verified the complaint under the guidance of DySP Ms. Anamika Mirzapure.

Technician Bagde was then caught while accepting the bribe money. His residence was also raided by the ACB sleuths. A case has been registered with Armori Police Station in this regard and further investigations are in progress.
