Melodious ‘Diwali Pahat’ enthralls Gadchirolians – ‘Ajab Gajab’s unique gift.

Gadchiroli Oct. 25 (District Correspondent) Ajab-Gajab Vikha Mancha, a well-known social organization of the city, like every year, had organized a musical programme at the dawn of Diwali, this year too and lit up the beautiful morning with sweet and melodious songs.

The crescent moon of Trayodashi still shining in the sky, the twinkling stars like jewels embedded in the darkness, the dew of pink winter, the outpouring of swaras in such a beautiful atmosphere, this journey of music and songs started through Rishabh, Gandhara, Madhyamya, Pancham, Dhaivat, Nishada showered its flowers of different songs on the music lovers. The audience too responded the songs with their thunderous applauses and made the melodious concert of lights more joyful.

Famous Maharashtra singer Poorna Khanode, singer Vachaspati Chandel, Sangeet Samrat fame Leeladhar Patole, singer Manisha Wankhede, Bhagyashree Khanode filled the colours of sapta -swara in this vocal concert organized at the local Vidyabharati Kanya High School and Junior College of the city.

Pragya Jeevankar, presenter of Chandrapur Akashvani Kendra, gave an equally attractive presentation of this program and added more colours to it. Tabla player Ajay Chavan, flutist Akash Saitwal, Harmonium player Praveen Kale, keyboardist Pawan Bharaskar, pad player Dyaneshwar Dhanbhar, Manjiriist Sourav Thamke provided musical accompaniment to the vocals of the singers thereby making the concert delighted.

Prin. Dr. Rajabhau Munghate, President of Dandakaranya Educational and Cultural Development Society was present as the chief guest. Principal of Vidyabharati Vidyalaya Ms. Vandana Munghate, Samsher Khan Pathan, Principal Leena Hakim, Bhandara District Civil Surgeon Dr. Deepchand Soyam, Shantabai Trinagariwar were also prominently present.

The concert started with lamp lighting. After that, a silent tribute was paid to late Manoj Aloni, a member of Ajab-Gajab Vikahar Mancha who had died during corona. At the very beginning of the concert, singer Poorna Khanode made the atmosphere emotional by singing the devotional song Tuzya Krupene Din Ugwe. Then Vachaspati Chandel performed Prabhat Kaali and Bhagyashree Khanode presented Sriranga Kamala Kanta.

Manisha Wankhede remembered the Guru by singing Shri Guru Bhajan. Leeladhar Patole performed Abhang on the clarinet instrument. Vachspathi Chandel brought out the atmosphere by performing the romantic song ‘Kenwhatari Pahaate’ written by Suresh Bhat. Manisha Wankhede presented a special Diwali song ‘Dipawali Manaye Suhani’. Apart from this, the juggling of tabla player Ajay Chavan and flutist Akash Saitwal also won the hearts of the fans.

In this concert, this Diwali morning was made unforgettable with the performance of such unique and populist songs. During the program.Dr.  Deepchand Soyam working as District Civil Surgeon in Bhandara was felicitated for his contribution to health services in Gadchiroli.

Delicious feast with vocals– In this vocal concert, while giving a feast of melodious music, the participants were also given breakfast of locally made Kohla Bond and Dudhi Wadas specially made in the zadipatti areas. The joy of voices and the taste of traditional food made this concert ever memorable.
