Gadchiroli Oct. 14 (District Correspondent) Part Time Field Workers Association took out a morcha on the collectorate here to press the demands of speedy recruitment of the 5 cadres in health department and immediate cancellation of new service entry rules notification dated 29/09/2021.

The morcha started from Indira Square and proceeded to the collectorate where a memorandum of demands was submitted to the District Collector.

In the year 2019, Rural Development Department, had issued an advertisement for the recruitment of the 5 cadres of the Health Department but now this recruitment is being cancelled by giving various reasons. The Rural Development Department announced the schedule on 15th and 16th of this month that has also been cancelled this schedule citing the reason of MPSC exams.

The new service  rule notification issued by the Health Department of the Government of Maharashtra on 29 Spt. 2021 has not been implemented. As per new rules for the post of Multi-Purpose Health Worker, the candidate must have passed 12th (Science) and the course of Sanitation Inspector also has been made mandatory.

Earlier, the educational qualification for MPW post was SSC pass and the condition was that there should be 90 days experience of working as a seasonal field employee. But since 2019, the government has issued new rules. We have been serving in remote areas of Gadchiroli district since 1995 to bring Malaria under control. We are all 10th pass and 50% quota is reserved for us. If the government implements the new service rule while filling up new posts, then all of us will be disqualified. not only that, hundreds of candidates will cross their age limit. This is unfair to all the employees and therefore the said posts should be filled in as per 2019 notification, said the memorandum.

Mr. Dnyandeep Galbale, President of the Association, Vilas Dhore, Amit Kukudkar, Prashik Mashakhetri, Sunil Tagde, Sopan Mashakhetri led the morcha in which hundreds of workers participated.
