Gadchiroli March 15 (District Correspondent) Continuing its tradition, the Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti (MANS) celebrated the festival of Holi with the elderly inmates of Matoshree Old Age Home in Gadchiroli and distributed Puranpolis to them.

The Samiti members assembled at the Old Age Home and applied colours to the age-old inmates and spent some time with them. The workers of Sarvodaya Mandal and Gurudev Seva Mandal, also accompanied them. All of them distributed the Puran polis, other food items and bananas among the age-old people to mark the occasion.

Dr. Shivnath Kumbhare, senior advisor of MANS and president of Gurudev Seva Mandal, was the chairman, while the chief guests were Mr. Pandit Pudke, retired principal, Prof. Sheshrao Yelekar, Prof. Bhaskar Narule, state co-ordinator Vilas Nimborkar, district working president Vitthalrao Kothare, district principal secretary Purushottam Thakre, Lahuji Ramteke, Alkatai Gurnule.

The dignitories expressed their views and expressd the need of maintaining the atmosphere of communal harmony and spread the teachings of great saints and social reformers in the society.

Some elderly women were in tears while expressing the feelings. The introduction was given by Mr. Vilas Nimborkar, Haridas Kotrange conducted the programme and the vote of thanks was given by Purushottam Thakre.

Mr. Damodhar Upparwar, Vamanrao Gurnule, Pratiksha Kodape, Priyanka Nimborkar, Swanandi Pudke, Rtuja Upparwar, Gangadhar Chandawar, Madhukar Lonare cooperated for the success of the program.
