Gadchiroli Sept. 3 (District Correspondent) A music concert “Rimzim Gire Sawan” was organized by Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan samiti’s City Branch Gadchiroli at the district Prison here to celebrate the festival of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ recently.
The celebration was held by tying rakhi to the jail inmates and other staff of the prison by the activists of ANIS. The Creative Orchestra Group of the ANIS also organized the musical concert to mark the occasion. Gadchiroli District Principal Secretary of Maharashtra ANIS Purushottam Thackeray and his other colleagues Ms. Triveni Hivarale (Amravati), Ms. Shital Kakade (Warora) singers Chaitanya Gaurkar, and Ms. Varsha Rajgade entertained the audience by presenting various melodious songs including patriotic songs, Marathi devotional songs, Bhav Geet etc. on the occasion.
Jail Superintendent Mr. Kokate, Senior Jail Officer Padve were prominently present on the occasion. Working president of MANIS city branch Upendra Rohankar moderated and anchored the program. District Principal Secretary Mr. Purushottam Thackeray, Mr. Vilas Nimborkar, Sudhakarrao Madavi, Sepoy Sandeep Raut, Girish Humane and Mr. Kishore Chawre took pains for the success of the programme.
