Lloyds Metals organizes health camp at remote tribal village, hundreds benefited.

Gadchiroli Sept. 14 (District Correspondent) Continuing its initiative of health camps, Lloyd Metal and Energy Limited Company had organized a health check-up and treatment camp at village Aldandi in Etapalli taluka the other day for the people of the remote and backward area.

In this health camp, as many as 924 citizens of the area were examined for their health and medicines and referral services were given to the needy free of cost. Along with this, 35 blood donors donated their blood voluntarily in the blood donation camp organized by the company on this occasion.

The citizens were examined by 11 expert doctors including paediatrician, gynaecologist, osteopath, surgeon, medicine expert, ENT surgeon and other doctors who were specially called from the reputed hospitals and health organizations.

The camp was inaugurated at the hands of Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Hedari Mr. Dadas. Block Development Officer of Etapalli Panchayat Samiti Mohor, Officer-in-Charge of Aldandi Police Assistance Center Yenpe, Sarpanch of Udera village panchayat Ganesh Gota, Police Patil Mahesh Mattami, Bhumia Birsu Mattami, Village Patil Chaitu Mattami, former Aldandi Sarpanch Chaitu Mattami were prominently present as the chief guests.

Out of 924 citizens whose health check -up was done, as many as 120 people were related to orthopaedical problems and 17 of them were referred for the further treatment. After examining 101 people for dermatology and 71 patients for gynaecological disorders, referral services were given to 6 patients.

Similarly, 67 children were examined out of whom 4 children were referred for the further advanced treatment to other hospitals. Out of 40 surgical cases, 14 were referred. 41 patients were examined for ear, nose and throat diseases and 7 were referred. Along with this, 250 people were given eye treatment. 110 patients with eyesight problem were given glasses. 8 ECG, 24 malaria test, 12 dengue tests, 16 typhoid tests and 40 blood sugar tests were conducted in the camp.

The doctors who examined the patients in this camp included Paediatrician Dr. T. Swati Reddy, Surgeon Dr. Ramchandra Bose Naik, Dr. Ramakrishna Ganapatiwar, ENT Specialist Dr. P. Nagaraju, Osteopath Dr. Saicharan Reddy, Dermatologist Dr. Pranay Gandhi, Gynaecologist Dr. Anant Jadhav, Medical Officer of Etapalli Rural Hospital Dr. Gayatri Martkar, Dr. Jasmina Tembhurne, Medical Officer of Aheri Sub District Hospital Dr. Chetan Ingole, Optometrist Vivek.

The local people have expressed satisfaction over the camp as it benefited many of the patients in the area who required medical examination and treatment. The Lloyds Metals and Energy company had organized similar health check up camp at village Hedri in Etapalli taluka few days back where as many as 1082 patients were examined and treatment was given.

The initiative of the Company is being appreciated in the area.
