Capture man eater tigers immediately-demands All Indian Republican Party.

Gadchiroli Sept. 14 (District Correspondent) All Indian Republican Party has demanded immediate capturing of man eater tigers in the district.

A delegation of the party workers, along with tiger affected villagers met the Conservator of Forest Dr. Kishor Mankar today in his office under the leadership of Mr. Rohidas Raut, Central Vice President of the party and submitted him a memorandum in this regard.

An atmosphere of fear and terror has prevailed among the farmers, farm labourers and other citizens in the district due to growing incidents of tiger attack in various parts of the district. Many people have been killed so far besides the cattle due to tiger attacks. It has become quite difficult for the farmers to do their farming and forest-based activities. This is going to badly affect the agricultural crops and the question of people’s livelihood may arise, said the memorandum.

The man eater tigers should therefore be captured immediately and proper steps should be taken to ensure that no such incidents occur again, it was demanded.

The memorandum also demanded that immediate financial help be given to the kins of the people killed in tiger attacks besides giving government job to one of the family members, solar fencing be done around the fields with the government expenses, fodder be made available for the cattle, forest department officials be asked to remain present at their headquarters, patrolling in the forest areas be intensified, unemployed youths in villages be appointed on the forest works etc.

Reginal Vice President, Prin. Prakash Dudhe, Office Secretary Ashok Khobragade, City President Anil Barsagade, Youth President Narendra Raipure, senior activist Vinod Ajbale, Taluka Vice President Hemaji Sahare, Narayan Sakhre, Ishwar Dane, Yashwant Chandragire, Ashok Undirwade and others were present in the delegation.

The Conservator of Forest Dr. Mankar and Wadsa Dy. Conservator of Forest Dhananjay Waybhase discussed the issue in detail and informed about the steps being taken by the forest department. They also assured the delegation to look into matter.
