Lloyds’ cricket thrill from Feb. 5, Ravi Shashtri to remain present.

Gadchiroli Feb. 2 (District Correspondent) Lloyd’s Metals and Energy Limited (LMEL) has organized the Gadchiroli District Premier League (GDPL) tournament from February 5, and cricket fans will get to experience the thrill of T-20 matches.

Former Director General of Police of Gujarat and Executive Director of Lloyd’s Metals S.S. Khandwawala gave this information in a press conference at the Lloyds office here this afternoon.

Mr. Khandwawa la said that this cricket tournament will be held at the MIDC ground in Gadchiroli. On February 5 at 3:30 pm, former India player and coach Ravi Shastri will inaugurate the tournament, which will be held in the presence of Lloyd’s Metals Managing Director B. Prabhakaran. A march past of all the teams in the tournament will be held during the inaugural programme. The cultural program to be held at this time will be the main attraction of the entire ceremony.

The first league match of the tournament will start at 5:00 pm, in which the Lloyds team will play. The second match will be played at 8:30 pm and all the subsequent matches from February 6 will be played as per the schedule.

There will be day and night matches every day, with the first match being played from 4 pm to 7 pm, and the second match from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm. Teams from 12 talukas of Gadchiroli district, as well as teams from the Police, Forest, Revenue Department and Lloyds Metals, will participate in this tournament.

Lloyds Metals will provide free transportation to watch the matches so that the cricket lovers and general public can watch the matches and experience the thrill of the cricket at the MIDC ground.

Arrangements have been made for setting up stalls and shops in the competition area. Free electricity will be provided by the organizers. It has also been appealed to those who want to set up shops and stalls to contact the organizers.

Lloyds Metals Directors Colonel Vikram Mehta, Balram Somnani and Romit Tomberlawar were also present at the press conference.
