
Gadchiroli April 12 (District Correspondent) Through the library, children can develop a love of reading and competitive exams, as well as get information about national, international daily events. Therefore, library is an important centre to survive in today’s competitive era, asserted Gadchiroli MLA Dr. Milind Narote, while speaking at the inauguration of the Municipal Council Public Library building in Kannamwar Ward here the other day. This library is being run by Jagadguru Tukobarai Public Library.
Former councillor Gulabrao Madavi presided over the program, while Mr. Suryakant Pidurkar, Chief Officer of Municipal Council, Shaligram Vidhate, President of Jagadguru Tukobarai Public Library, Dadaji Choudhari, Secretary, were present on the stage.
Dr. Narote further said that the library is an important centre for transferring knowledge from one generation to another and I will start a total of 25 updated libraries, 5 every year in my constituency. He announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh from MLA fund for this library.
Mr. Pidurkar, Chief Officer assured that the library will be provided the necessary facilities, open space, and a protective wall etc.
Mr. Gulabrao Madavi said, this library was approved for my ward by the then Guardian Minister from the Special Assistance Fund. I am was happy to see this beautiful library. There is nothing else in the world except knowledge, because knowledge makes human progress rapidly, he said and appealed the youth to imbibe knowledge through this library.
Mr. Abdul Bhai Panjwani, Ankush Bhalerao, former councilor Satish Vidhate, Anil Pohankar were felicitated by the dignitaries with shawls, garlands and bouquets for the excellent construction and cooperation of this library.
Prof. Sheshrao Yelekar made an introductory speech, Prof. Sandhya Yelekar conducted the programme and Dadaji Chaudhari proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Suresh Ladke, Eng. Rajendra Urkude, Dadaji Chafle, Chandrakant Shivankar, Purushottam Maske worked hard to make this program a success.
