Gadchiroli Jan. 11 (District Correspondent) Director of Information and Public Relations Department Ganesh Mule was felicitated by the Press Club at the District Information Office on Friday. Mr. Mule was on a day’s tour of the district.
Press Club President Avinash Bhandekar, Vice President Rohidas Raut, Secretary Rupraj Wakode, Joint Secretary Suresh Nagarale, District Information Officer Gajanan Jadhav were prominently present. Senior journalists Sanjay Thipale, Jayant Nimgade, Venkatesh Dudamwar were also present.
Mr. Ganesh Mule discussed various problems of journalists in the district and also sought opinions on what measures can be taken to bring about the rapid development of the district in the coming time. He gave information on how new information technology can be used to connect today’s journalism with modernity and how the Information and Public Relations Department will help in this. He also gave details of the new technological experiments developed for the journalism and appealed the journalists to remain updated with this latest technology.
Mr. Mule also discussed in depth about workshops and study tours for journalists in the district. He expressed his thoughts on how to give accreditation to maximum journalists in the district. He instructed the District Information Officers on what can be done to have a separate cell for the media persons in the District Collector’s Office. He expressed his intention to construct an independent building for the District Information Office by obtaining government land from the District Collector.
