Grand Krishi Melawa organized by Gadchiroli Police, material distributed to farmers.

Gadchiroli Aug. 26 (District Correspondent) A ‘Krishi Melava’ was organized by the police department at Eklavya Auditorium here in association with Collector’s Office, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Agricultural Technology Management Agency under the guidance of under “Police Dadalora Khidki’ programme.

The rally was inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Sanjay Meena, District Collector while Mr.  Mr. Ankit Goyal, Superintendent of Police Sameer Sheikh, Somay Munde, Anuj Tare, Additional Superintendent of Police, Vikram Kadam, Shital Khobaragade of the Agriculture Department were prominently present.

As many as 600 farmers from remote areas were present. 101 sprayer pumps to 101 self-help groups, 2250 kg paddy seeds to 225 farmers, 100 kg  soya bean seeds to 10 farmers,  1000 chickpeas, grass, lemon, cashew plants,  poultry birds were distributed on the occasion.

Till now 11,633 farmers have been given agricultural seeds, 444 farmers have been trained in poultry.  farming, poultry and feed and pots have been imparted to 100 farmers through Police Dadalora Khidki through KVK, ATMA and BOI RCET Gadchiroli.

Duck bird feed and pots, vegetable cultivation training and seed kits to 440 farmers, fish farming training to 87 farmers, fish seed and feed to 32 farmers, beekeeping training to 170 farmers, agricultural darshan tour to 170 farmers, goat rearing training to 80 farmers, 500 farmers to be trained in Shewga cultivation so far.

As many as 500 farmers were trained on papaya cultivation, 500 farmers were trained on sitafal cultivation and 30 saplings each were distributed. Also, 2023 farmers got the benefit of Barbed Wire Scheme, Well Irrigation Scheme, Modern Farming Implements Scheme, Agricultural Self Reliance Scheme, Crop Insurance Scheme, Animal Conservation Scheme etc by filling the online form in MahaDBT.

As many as 6092 farmers have been given the benefit under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana by filling the form and availing benefits. A total of 23,061 farmers have been given the benefit of various schemes so far.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sanjay Meena said that the initiative of Dadalora Khidki of Gadchiroli Police Force is commendable and so far, 2 lakh citizens have been successful in getting the benefit of various schemes of the government. Therefore, Gadchiroli Police Force has contributed substantially in the development of the district. He appealed the citizens of the district to take advantage of the schemes to become self-reliant.

Mr. Goyal also appealed to the farmers and other people of Gadchiroli district to take advantage of various activities of Gadchiroli Police Force to raise their standard of living and develop the district without falling victim to the fake movement of Naxalites. He assured that all possible help will be given for the development of the people of Gadchiroli district.

For the success of the said program, all Sub-Divisional Police Officers as well as all Officer-in-Charge of Police Posts, Sub-Posts, POMCs and Civil Action Branch’s Mahadev Shelar worked.
