Gadchiroli Feb. 10 (District Correspondent) Instead of going for a job, city youth Sumit Gautam Meshram has opted for his own business and has started a company of modern IoT digital equipment thereby setting an example before the unemployed youths.
Sumit did his Graduation in Computer Science and then thought about starting his own company. Interested in computer engineering since the student life, he launched a company Digital Hut Automations Pvt. Ltd. just a couple of months before at Nagpur by auspicious hands of Hon.E.Z.Khobragade, (IAS, Retd.)
This company works in manufacturing of smart switches, smart lights, smart curtain motors, smart locks etc. He himself has designed these beautiful smart digital products after a deep research and study and currently has started the installation at some sites in Vidarbha. ‘We Make Home That Listens To You’ is the slogan of his company.
The citizens are preferring ease of convenience and opting for digital equipment now a days. Constructing a home is everybody’s dream for which they wanted something new and innovative. If these citizens are provided smart digital equipment, they will certainly accept it as these devices provides them convenience at their fingertip and will contribute in improving lifestyle and accessibility of the people and that is why I choose to manufacture this digital equipment which will certainly come true to the expectations of the people, said Sumit while talking to this correspondent.
There is a huge market for these products in India. As per data published by www.researchandmarkets.com Indian market size for smart home devices was 3.6 billion dollars (300~400 Crore INR) in 2021 and according to report Indian Home Automation Industry will grow with a double-digit CAGR of 15.62% aiming to reach 8.6 billion dollars (800~900 Crore INR) till 2027. Presently such products are available in China market but they can’t provide timely service and desirable quality hence I opted for the locally made products that will fulfil the requirements of the people, he told.
Everybody wants comfort and convenience and the digital products can fulfil this requirement, he pointed out. The products can be operated by an app, remote, voice control by integrating with Google Home, Amazon Alexa and can be commanded from the distant places besides physical operation by touch. This is the specialty of the products that is why everybody are welcoming it and preferring to install them at their homes, Sumit told.
Though in a initial stage, these devices has a good demand from the consumers. The orthopaedic patients have a special demand as the devices are quite useful for them, he told. One is wonders tucked after seeing the miracle of the devices designed by the young entrepreneur.
Sumit has registered his company as a Startup India Initiative with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India just at the age of 30. Presently he has not sought any government funds for the business but wants to expand the business further. He is confident that the products will certainly fetch a good market in the years to come because the present world is the digital world and everybody wants the new technology. The budget of these ultra-modern devices also is affordable to the people; Hence, Home automation products are fast becoming from luxury to a must-have for every middle-class household in India. he added.
Sumit took his education from Gadchiroli itself and has now turned himself into a businessman with his skill and innovative ideas. His father Gautam Meshram is an officer with the Education Department while mother Sujata is a school teacher and sister Snehal Meshram is a doctor who assisted him during event management and promotions. He has shown that a man with a very humble background also can climb upto the stage of a factory owner. Presently, Sumit is providing employment to about a dozen of youths. His initiative is being widely appreciated here.
