Gadchiroli March 14 (District correspondent)Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar established Samata Sainik Dal in 1927 to reduce inequality in society and promote social equality, protect people, reduce injustice and oppression of untouchables and for the self-defense. The organization needs to be strengthened further and every Amedkarite should work for this by joining Samta Sainik Dal. In fact every house should have a member of the organization, he said.
This was stated by Mr. Tularam Raut, District President of the Bhartiya Bouddha Mahasabha while presiding over the one-day camp of the Samata Sainik Dal at Prabuddha Buddha Vihar, Vivekananda Nagar here the other day.
District General Secretary Prof. Gautam Dange, City President Balkrishna Bambole, Vice President Bhimrao Kumbhare, Gadchiroli Taluka President Machhindranath Wankar were present as chief guests.
At the outset, portraits of Lord Buddha and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar were garlanded and Buddha Vandana was performed.
Prof. Gautam Dange said that Samta Sainik Dal is very much needed for propagating the ideology of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and to spread the message of social equality in the society. City President Balkrishna Bambode also spoke on the occasion and told about the importance and necessity of Samta Sainik Dal in the present times.
Mr. Bhimrao Kumbhare administered an oath to the Samata Sainik Dal members. This time as many as27 women registered their names to join Samata Sainik Dal.
Mr. Moreshwar Ambade conducted the proceedings while Vice President Bhimrao Kumbhare gave vote of thanks.
Mr. Lahu Ramteke, Surekha Barsagade, Shivram Karmankar, Vinod Raipure, Suryabhan Ghutke, Devaji Bhaisare, Suresh Barsagade and many others were present at the programme.
