Gadchiroli Oct. 1 (District Correspondent) Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis asserted that all officials of the district should come together and carry out the approved works in terms of development with quality and speed to advance the development of the district. For the development of the district Chief minister and myself are going to work together and the entire Maharashtra government is standing behind the district of Gadchiroli.
A meeting of the District Planning Committee was held at the Planning Bhavan this afternoon. On this occasion, he reviewed the work and expenditure of the year 2020-21 and 2021-22. Mr. Fadnavis also took information about the proposed works in the current year.
Gadchiroli Chimur Lok Sabha MP Ashok Nete, MLC Abhijit Vanjari, MLAs Dr. Devrao Holi, Krishna Gajbe and Dharmaraobaba Atram, Collector Sanjay Meena, DIG Sandeep Patil, SP Ankit Goyal, Chief Conservator of Forests Dr. Kishore Mankar, CEO Kumar Ashirwad and heads of various departments were present.
It was directed to implement the process for the immediate acquisition of the necessary land for the proposed medical college and university. A discussion was also held to sort out the pending irrigation issues in the district.
The minister said that the process will be started to give administrative approval to all the three pending projects to increase the irrigation area in the district. He gave instructions to various departments to complete the pending works of national highway and other roads in the district. He instructed to immediately install the MRI machine in the District General Hospital and instructed the power distribution department to try for recovery without disconnecting the power supply of gram panchayats immediately.
He gave instructions to acquire the land submerging in Medigatta Dam. Telling that compensation for the trees on the land will be given, he asked to prepare a special package regarding this. He also promised that the government’s decision to pay one and a half times salary in the police department will be announced on Monday.
The pending issue of the Markanda Devasthanam will be resolved within a month. He also gave instructions to implement the plan to connect schools and other government offices through the extended fibre connection from Bharat Net.
Collector Sanjay Meena presented information of the district annual plan. The vote of thanks was proposed by District Planning Officer Tejbahadur Tidke.
The project at Konsari is going to be accelerated. The first phase of this project will be completed by April 2023 and it will bring change in the district and there will be an investment of 18 thousand crores, he informed.
There is a lot of traffic for this project. Chances of accidents occur frequently. As an alternative to this, we are planning to create a mining corridor, Fadnavis said adding that a detailed plan will be prepared for this in the coming time
A meeting with the People’s Representative and Collector will be organzed at the Ministry level in the coming month to speed up the important issues in the district, he told.
