
Gadchiroli April 24 (District Correspondent) The annual cultural and arts festival of Shri Govindrao Munghate College of Arts and Sciences, Kurkheda was organized recently at the college auditorium.
The program was presided over by the President of the Dandakaranya Sanstha Dr. Rajabhau Munghate, Fashion and lifestyle ambassador Adv. Ms. Kavita Mohorkar inaugurated the programme. Vice Principal P. S. Khope, Vice Principal Dr. Abhay Salunkhe, Head of Cultural Department Prof. Dr. Narendra Arekar, Head of Cultural Department Lokesh Raut, Ms. Pranali Shende were prominently present.
Speaking on the occasion Ms. Mohorkar said we are part of society. There are many beautiful things in society but we should a vision to see them. Speaking well, behaving well, living well, walking well is also an art. Try to become beautiful by cultivating this art. Just think yourself whether you just want to be a person or to blossom your personality and try to give whatever good you can to the society, she advised.
Speaking further, Adv. Moharkar said that we have to erase the identity of our Gadchiroli district as a backward district and we can create an identity as a district with beautiful air, beautiful nature, beautiful forest, beautiful college, beautiful people. While living your life, think about others also. She gave the instances of Saint Dnyaneshwar, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Savitribai Phule, Rani of Jhansi, Bahinabai Chaudhary to make her point.
Principal Dr. Rajabhau Munghate said, love yourself. Loving yourself means not being selfish but being honest with yourself. Only then we can progress. He asserted that as the flower that blooms in summer attracts everyone, we too should blossom our individuality through this cultural art festival.
Cultural Department Head Dr. Narendra Arekar made an introductory speech, conducted Suraj Sakhre conducted the programme and Dr. Sanjay Mahajan proposed the vote of thanks. The program was attended by former President of Nagar Parishad Ravindra Gotefode, Borkar Sir Prof. Rajni Thackeray, many parents and majority of students.
