Gadchiroli March 29 (District Correspondent) Samidha College of Civil Services, Gadchiroli, organized a two-day cultural and sports festival at the college auditorium here the other day.
The programme was inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Tularam Raut, Retired Education Extension Officer. Mr. Kalidas Raut, President of Samidha foundation presided while Mr. Amarkumar Khandare, well known singer, Ms. Aruna Raut, Sumitra Raut, Kalpana Raut, Principal Manoj Dholne were prominently present.
Different competitions like dish decoration, rangoli contest, elocution contest, singing contest and colourful cultural programs like dances, costumes contest etc were organized during the programme in which students presented their skill and art.
The programme was concluded in presence of Dr. Anil Hirekhan, Registrar of Gondwana University, Mr. Rohidas Raut, journalist, Atmaram Bhanarkar, social worker, Banduji Khobragade, Kalidas Raut were the chief guests.
Three students of the college selected in Maharashtra Police were felicitated in this programme. The students who performed well in administrative officer search campaign and those showing outstanding performance in various contests were given prizes at the hands of Dr. Hirekhan and other guests by presenting them mementos, certificates and bouquets.
Addressing the students, Dr. Hirekhan adviced them to set their target and work hard accordingly to achieve success. Take full advantage of the training provided by the college for this, he added and appreciated the Samidha college for starting the civil services courses and guidance for the administrative exams.
Mr. Rohidas Raut congratulated the students on their performance and said they should go ahead with a sense of confidence to get their ambitions fulfilled. Students should develop their own career and make the name of the college, society and country great.
Many of the students gave their response to this festival and presented the cultural activities. The students, staff members contributed for the success of the programme.
Principal Manoj Dholne explained the purpose of this festival in his introductory speech, Prof. Ankush Gohne conducted the programme and Sunil Bhurse proposed the vote of thanks.
