Gadchiroli Feb. 21 (District Correspondent) The workers of various political parties staged demonstrations in front of the collectorate here on Monday to protest against the killing of the Communist Party leader Com. Govind Pansare.
A large number of workers assembled on the main gate of the collector office and shouted slogans condemning the state government for its delay in finding out the master mind behind the murder of Pansare and punishing murderers.
Some elements want to silence the voice of those working for the democratic values and safeguarding the constitution. Com. Pansare and other leaders like Dr. Narendra Dabholkar, Kalburgi, Gauri Lankesh have been finished by these elements, it was alleged by Dr. Mahesh Kopulwar, State member of Communist Party of India while addressing the gathering.
Mr. Raut also spoke on the occasion and strongly condemned the communal forces for their designs of eliminating the progressive ideology. However the thoughts can’t be finished at the point of gun, he said. He demanded stringent and early action against the culprits involved in the murder of Com. Pansare.
It has been six years since Govind Pansare’s brutal murder on 20 February 23. But as their killers have not been punished yet, CPI Maharashtra organized ‘Javab Do Andolan’ in front of the Gadchiroli Collectorate in which many like-minded parties participated.
A memorandum addressed to the chief Minister was then submitted to the District Collector.
