Gadchiroli Feb. 7 (District Correspondent) The Congress party workers staged demonstrations in protest against the central government’s ploy of giving the hard-earned money of common citizens invested in LIC and SBI institutes to the AdaniGroup and to press the demand of enquiring the matter by the Supreme Court Chief Justice or the JPC.

A large number of workers assembled at the Indira Square of the city on Monday afternoon and shouted slogans against the central government and Ambani.

According to the report submitted by Hidenburg Institute, the financial malpractice in Adani Group has been exposed. The common people, farmers, hardworking citizens invested their hard earned money in LIC and SBI but under the pressure of the government, that money was very irresponsibly invested in Adani Group by the central government. The comman investors are most likely to lose their money due to irregularities of the Adani Group, they alleged.

Therefore, the Congress workers staged demonstrations under the leadership of District President Mahendra Bramhanwade and the government and Adani were protested.

A memorandum was submitted to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the Collector of Gadchiroli, with the main demand that the money of the investors should be protected and Heidenberg Institute’s report should be investigated under the supervision of the Parliamentary Committee or the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

On this occasion Maharashtra Pradesh Congress General Secretary and Gadchiroli district in-charge Dr. Namdev Kirsan, Regional Secretary Dr. Nitin Kodavate, Dr. Chanda Kodawate, City President Satish Vidhate, Gadchiroli Taluka President Vasant Raut, Wadsa President Rajendra Bulle, Shankarao Salotkar, Prabhakar Wasekar, Pramod Vaidya, Devaji Sontakke, Rajnikant Motghare, Wamanrao Savasakde, Pandurang Ghotekar, Abdul Panjwani, Pushpalata Kumare, Harbaji More and many other Congress workers participated in the demonstrations.
