Gadchiroli March 23 (District Correspondent) A ‘Hath se Hath Jodo’ campaign was organized by Dhanora Taluka Congress Committee at the remote and tribal villages of Pustola, Gatta, Kondwahi, Murumgaon, Yerkad and Salebhatti in the taluka recently.

In this campaign, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Gadchiroli district in-charge of the Congress Party Dr. Namdev Kirsan, Dhanora Taluka Congress Committee President Parasram Pada, Gadchiroli Taluka Congress Committee President Vasant Raut, former Zilla Parishad member Kesari Patil Usendi participated.

The leaders took out foot march in the villages and met the people and distributed pamphlets among them highlighting the congress Party programmes and policies. They also urged the villagers to join the party.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Kirsan said the Congress Party has been working for the development of the country and welfare of the people since India achieved Independence. The party has also played very important role in the freedom struggle and many of its leaders have sacrificed their lives in this struggle. The Congress Party always treated all the religions and castes equally and believed in the principles of secularism. This party needs to be strengthened further for safeguarding the democracy and constitution, he stated.

Many Congress workers including Shivkumar Patel, Vaishnav Chavan, Pradeep Junghare, Devanand Kamble, Meghraj Undirwade, Murumgaon Sarpanch Shivkumar Gaverna, Surendra Poyam, Laxman Gaverna, Mukesh Madavi, Krishna Bhoyar, Motilal Gaverna, Bhawarsingh Rawate, Pushpatai Narote and a large number of local citizens participated.

KORCHI TALUKA—Similar campaign was also taken up in Korchi taluka. The Congress workers toured Betkathi, Alitola, Boteksa, Bihitekla, Bhimpur, Guteksa, Pandhrigota, Sohle in Korchi Taluka of Gadchiroli District and met the villagers urgong them to join the Congress Party.

Korchi Taluka Congress Committee President Manoj Aggarwal, District Congress General Secretary Hakimuddin Shaikh, former ZP councilor Ramsuram Katenge, Woman Congress Taluka President Premilatai Katenge, Senior Congress Leader Jagdish Kapurdeharia, Social Media Taluka Head Wasim Shaikh, Congress Transport Cell Taluka President Rukhman Ghatghumar, Khushal Mohurle, Gopal Mohurle,  Ganesh Gawde, Kishore Narote, Budhram Phulkuwar, Virendra Madavi, Shankar Janbandhu, Vitthal Shende, Mehersingh Katenge  and other activists and a large number of villagers participated in the campaign.
