Complex area of Gadchiroli named as ‘Civil Lines’.

Gadchiroli April 19 (District Correspondent) The Complex area of the city housing different government offices will now be known as ‘Civil Lines’.

The municipal administration has issued a notification in this regard recently. The area of Gadchiroli Municipal council is 29.29 square kilometers. Presently it has 12 Prabhags with 23 wards and every ward has a particular name.

Gadchiroli is a place of district headquarters and all the government offices are situated in the Complex Area. These offices include the district collector’s office, district and sessions court, district police headquarters, district hospital, town planning, land records, Gondwana University, RTO office, anti-corruption office etc.

There is a practice of declaring the area housing the government offices as ‘Civil Lines’. Hence the area from the district court square to CRPF headquarters to T point square to anti-corruption office to collector’s residence, to ITI to Circuit house square to court square will now be known as the civil Lines, informed the chief Officer of the Municipal council in a press release.
