Gadchiroli Nov. 25 (District Correspondent) District Collector Sanjay Meena has taken a decision to hold the child protection meetings at taluka levels to implement the schemes related to child welfare more effectively.

A meeting of the district level committee was recently held at the collectorate under the chairmanship of Mr. Meena in which directives in this regard were given by Mr. Meena.

As per Women and Child Development Department, orphans, destitute, single parents, children suffering from diseases HIV, sickle cell, children of prisoners serving life sentence, etc are to be given the benefit of the child protection schemes. According to JJ Act child care scheme is being implemented in the district under Women and Child Development Officer for the children who need care and protection. Beneficiary children from the district come to the district level office to avail the benefit of the scheme. This scheme is free and no fees or intermediaries are required. If there is any problem regarding this scheme or if anyone is demanding money for availing the benefit of the scheme, people may contact the office of District Child Protection Cell Gadchiroli on Phone No.-07132222645 or Email Id- dcpu.gadchiroli@gmail.com Contact on this, it has been appealed.
