Gadchiroli district is a very remote and backward district, compared to other districts of Maharashtra. The district is still underdeveloped. As there is no representative of the Mahavikas Aghadi from the district in the state Assembly, in the present situation, the issues of the people are sidestepped and the administration is being carried out as per the whim of the government, pointed out Bramhanwade in the memorandum.
Due to the indifference of the people’s representatives of the ruling party to solve various problems of Gadchiroli district, these issues have remained neglected, he alleged. Bramhanwade told about various problems in the district and requested the leaders to solve these problems by raising their voice in the state legislature.
The traffic of Surjagad Project should be completely closed until the road work is completed in order to avoid the bad condition of the roads and the daily accidents caused by it. In Talathi and Forest Guard recruitment, there has been a great injustice to the non-tribal community in the district and to remove this injustice more seats should be given to non-tribals in this recruitment.
As per recently announced government decision, retired teachers are being hired on the basis of honorarium, which is totally wrong and injustice with the unemployed educated youths. The educated unemployed eligible youths should be given first priority and vacant posts of the teachers in the district should be recruited immediately; it was demanded.
The farmers of the district have suffered a lot last year due to flood waters Medigatta Dam. Concrete steps should be taken to avoid such a situation this year. Since the District Planning Committee meeting has not been held for the past one year, the development of the district has been affected and the government is being run at the discretion of the officials, it was further pointed out demanding regular meetings of DPC.
