Gadchiroli July 21 (District Correspondent) Newly appointed District President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Atul Ganyarpawar was accorded grand welcome and felicitation by the NCP workers and supporters on his first visit to the city after his appointment.

As soon as Mr. Ganyarpawar reached the city, he was taken into procession and was welcomed at Indira Square, the heart of city by presenting him bouquets and shawls.

An atmosphere of joy and enthusiasm was witnessed among the party workers on this appointment. A large number of workers had assembled at the Indira Square to welcome Ganyarpawar under the leadership of former chairman of the municipal council and city president of the Nationalist Congress Party Vijay Goradwar.

Mr.  Atul Ganyarpawar was given a warm welcome with the playing of drums and bursting of firecrackers. Mr. Naeem Sheikh, Vijay Dhakate, District Bank Director Amol Ganyarapwar, Ghot Rice Mill President Karan Ganyarapwar, Former Zilla Parishad Raju Atram, Youth City President Amol Kulmethe, Youth Vice President Prasad Pawar, Bhaskar Nimje, Ex-Councilors Sandhya Uike, Meenal Chimurkar, Women District General Secretary Sushma Yewle, Taluk President Nita Bobate,  Sevadal Taluka President Sunil Katrojwar, Raju Dangewar, Santosh Jumanake, Mallya Kalwa, Sunil Chimurkar, Prafulla Lotane, Sanju Meshram, Nilesh Kotgale, Shekhar Madavi, Diwakar Undirwade, Muralidhar Meshram, Naresh Kandikurwar, Bandu Elawar, Vinod Shengar, Madhukar Chintalwar,  Kabir Thakare, Aarti Kolhe, Maya Akkewar, Kalpana Eppawar, Baby Labhane, Pratima Sorte, Sunita Meshram and hundreds of activists were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ganyarpawar thanked the workers for their support and assured to strengthen the party organization in the district once again under the leadership of party supremo Sharad Pawar. He called upon the workers to stand solidly behind Mr. Pawar in this hour of crisis.
