Aniruddha Wankar’s songs on Constitution, Shivaji Maharaj enthrall Gadchirolians.

Gadchiroli March 23 (District Correspondent) A cultural festival of the well-known singer, cine artist and director Aniruddha Wankar was organized by the social justice department of the government of Maharashtra to mark the 75 th year of the constitution of India and 100 th year of the Mahad Revolution on Saturday evening at Sanvidhan Chouk of the city.

The programme was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Sachin Madavi, Assistant commissioner of Social Justice department. Mr. Rohidas Raut, senior journalist presided while Mr. Dadaji Chafle, social worker, Kishor Wadettiwar, Satish Vidhate, Seema Kose, Balu Tembhurne, municipal councillors, Hansraj Undirwade, Dharmanand Meshram, social workers were the chief guests.

Dr. Aniruddha Wankar, along with a team of his 15 artists including singers and musicians and presented melodious and inspiring songs based on the concept ‘Shivray to Bhimrao to propagate the thoughts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the great Maratha warrior and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution of India in this three-hour programme that enthralled the people.

The large number of audiences which attended the festival, spontaneously welcomed all the songs with thunderous applauses and appreciated the venture of awareness through the songs. The songs not only gave the message of the social equality and fraternity but also threw meaningful light on the overall personalities of the two great heroes- Shivaji Maharaj and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and also the other social reformers of Maharashtra and the historical revolution of Mahad’s Chawdar Tank.

Dr. Komal Dhande and Neha Gade artists from Mumbai and Dhamma tigote from Latur were the other key singers who presented songs besides Dr. Wankar in this festival.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Madavi informed that various activities have been organized by the government to commemorate the 75 th year of the constitution and the Mahad Revolution. The framed copies of the preamble of the Constitution of India are being distributed to every house, he informed and called upon the citizens to put up these copies at their homes.

Mr. Rohidas Raut in his presidential speech urged the administration that the pillars of the preamble be installed at the public places so that people get inspiration from the values of equality, fraternity and freedom enshrined in it. He appreciated the venture.

Dr. Aniruddha Wankar made an introductory speech, Mr. Bharat Rangari conducted the programme and proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Siddharth Gowardhan, Nagsen Khobragade, Ankush Shedmake, Raj Marathe, Chetan Ramteke and others took pains for the success of the programme.
