Gadchiroli March 26 (District Correspondent) A Marathi Drama ‘Amhi Zadiwant’ penned by Mr. anil Munghate was released at the hands of well-known stage artist and recipient of Padmashree award Dr. Parshuram Khune at a programme held at village Gurnoli in Kurkheda taluka the other day.

Dr. Suresh Ladke, senior member of Lions Club, Diwakar Barsagade, stage artist, Dadarao Chudhri were prominently present.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Khune said that it is matter of pride that the dramas are being written by the authors in Gadchiroli district. The district is already honoured with the great tradition of Zadipatti dramas and the writing of new dramas has added new colours to this tradition, he stated and congratulated Mr. Munghate, the author.

The drama is based on the picture of public life, agriculture and culture in the sixties and Mr. Munghate is carrying forward the rich tradition of his father, said Dr. Khune.

Mr. Munghate is the son of late Mr. Govindrao Munghate and presently resides at Mumbai. After retiring from his banking service, Munghate started writing and has so far penned the books ‘Alhad Kal’, ‘Eka Unhachya Sawlicha Prakash’ etc.
