Gadchiroli March 21 (District Correspondent) Some villages in Aheri taluka felt mild tremors of earth quake this morning.
The centre of the earth quake was Kagaznagar area in adjoining Telangana state. Village Mahagaon and some other villages in its vicinity bordering Pranhita River felt the tremors at around 9.30 this morning, according to sources in the District Disaster Management Cell here.
The intensity of this earth quake was recorded at 3.1 magnitude at rector scale. However, there was no any casualty or other loss of property in this earth quake as it was very mild in nature, told the sources.
The Aheri-Sironcha area has been experiencing earth quake for the last couple of years.
Meanwhile IMD has predicted thunderstorm with lightning with light rainfall at isolated places over Gadchiroli district. The possibility of gusty winds at 30-40 kmph at some isolated places over the district has also been predicted.
The weather today was cloudy and there were showers also at some places including the city of Gadchiroli.
