Gadchiroli Nov. 23 (District Correspondent) Additional Director General of Police (Special Action) Mr. Pravin Salunke visited newly established Police Station Wangeturi in remote area of ​​Gadchiroli district today. During this visit, he attended the public awareness rally organized by Gadchiroli Police Force at Police Station Wangeturi and distributed various materials to the tribal people of the area.

Inspector General of Police P. S. Ranpise, Deputy Inspector General of Police Sandeep Patil, Superintendent of Police Neelotpal, Additional Superintendent of Police (Campaign) Anuj Tare, Additional S P (Administration) Kumar Chinta, Additional SP (Aheri) Yatish Deshmukh, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Hedari  Bapurao Dadas were prominently present.

Around 200 to 300 citizens from Wangeturi village area attended the public awakening meeting. Also, dhotis, sarees, salwars, blankets, lowers, t-shirts, sweaters, chappals, spray-pumps, cooking utensils (pots, plates, spoons, etc.) and other essential goods and materials were distributed to the citizens attending the rally at the hands of Mr. Solanki and other senior police officers.

The materials like bicycle, dress, notebook, compass box, biscuit pocket, chocolates, volleyball net and ball, cricket material (bat, stumps, bells and ball) etc. were also distributed to the school students during the rally.

Addressing the citizens Mr. Salunkhe said that through the new police station, Gadchiroli Police Force will try to solve all the problems of the people and maximum number of citizens should take benefit from the various schemes implemented by the Police Force. Also, even though Wangeturi, which is at the border of Maharashtra state, is extremely remote, in the future, roads, healthcare facilities will be provided here, he said. Also, the citizens of this place should cooperate with the Police Force and take the initiative themselves for the said work, appealed the police officer.

Newly appointed Officer-in-Charge of Wangeturi Mahesh Vidathe as well as Officer-in-Charge of Civil Action Wing Dhananjay Patil and all the police officials worked tirelessly for organizing the programme.
