A case of youth’s height reaches High Court.

Gadchiroli July 24 (District Correspondent) A case of a youth’s height, appearing for the police recruitment in the district, has reached the Nagpur bench of Mumbai high court. The court has now sought an explanation from the Gadchiroli Superintendent of Police within two weeks’ time over the said matter.

One Pradeep Mallelwar had appeared for the police recruitment that was done by the Gadchiroli Police. During the physical measurement of Pradeep, his height was found to be 165 cms and he was declared eligible for the further process of recruitment. He belonged to NT- C category and stood on Serial number 130 in the list of candidates.

Pradeep then went through all other process of recruitment and even the written test. Latern on, he was called by the police all of a sudden once gain and his measurement was measured during which it was found 164.6 cms and was declared un- illegible for the recruitment.

Pradeep then filed a petition in Nagpur High Court through a city lawyer Adv. Kavita Mohorkar. The bench comprising Just. A. S. Chandurkar and Just. Vrushali Joshi admitted the petition and asked the SP to give explanation in the case within two weeks.

Further action in the case is awaited.
