Gadchiroli:- Samidha College of Civil Services, Gogaon had organized awareness programme on ‘scientific approach and science behind miracles’ with the help of Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti branch Gadchiroli recently in the college hall.
Mr. Kalidas Raut, the President of the College presided over the programme and Mr. Vilas Nimbokar, State Co-ordinator of Maha Annis Scientific Awareness Education Project, Govindrao Bramhanwade, Fund Manager of Maha Annis District Branch were present as guides.
Shri Govindrao Bramhanwade presented some demonstrations and gave information about the Anti-Witchcraft Act 2013 which was implemented due to the efforts of Dr. Narendra Dabholkar.
Mr. Vilas Nimborkar spoke on the scientific point of view and the reasons behind miracles and showed demonstrations by giving various types of examples. He also explained in detail the scientific reasons behind the so-called miracles and appealed the students to awaken the society about such miracles and keep away from the fake Babas.
Mr. Kalidas Raut in his presidential speech appreciated the efforts of the Maha Anis in creating awareness in the society and said scientific approach is very much necessary for the progress of the people and the country.
A large number of students participated in the programme and also raised their queries which were duly replied by the Anis activists.
