Mr. Mahendra Bramhanwade

Gadchiroli Jan. 30 (District Correspondent) District Congress Committee President Mahendra Bramhanwade has taken strong objection to the online meeting of District Planning Council (DPC) and has asked why such an online meeting is being held despite the district having two Guardian Ministers.

In a statement issued here Mr. Bramhanwade has said that never before in the history of the district has the Chief Minister of the state created a new history by keeping the post of Guardian Minister of the district to himself. To assist him in the task, he has also appointed another minister as the Co Guardian Minister of the district. But even after having two Guardian Ministers the important meeting of DPC is being held online which is unfortunate, he has stated.

With the chief minister keeping the guardian ministership of the district with himself, the expectations of the common citizens of the district were raised and they hoped that the development of the district would gain momentum. The hope was also created among the citizens of the district that the Chief Minister of the state would understand the feelings of the common citizens and interact with them, Bramhanwade has said.

Not only this, but as an aid to the Chief Minister, a co-guardian minister was also appointed for the district. The first meeting of the Gadchiroli District Planning Council, after the assembly elections will be held on January 31, under the chairmanship of the co-guardian minister, through video conferencing, which is very unfortunate, the DCC chief has said.

Mr. Brahmanawade has raised the question of why the planning council meeting is held online even when the district has two guardian ministers. It is also a great tragedy that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis cannot remain seated even when the meeting is online. Did Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis accept the guardianship of Gadchiroli district only to gain popularity, he has asked?

Mr. Brahmanawade has also raised the question of whether he kept the post of Guardian Minister for himself to benefit his industrialist friends in the district. Numerous citizens of the district are eagerly waiting to meet the Chief Minister with various problems, many farmers have not yet received their paddy dues, there are many problems of householders, there are problems related to the management of wild animals in the district, despite administrative approval for various development works like roads and hospitals in the district, funds have not been made available, Bramhanwade has pointed out.

If the Chief Minister of the state and the Guardian Minister of the district Devendra Fadnavis is not giving time to the district, will the citizens of the district have to take up “Remove the Guardian Minister and Save Gadchiroli District” campaign, Brahmanawade has asked.
