Gadchiroli May 27 (District Correspondent) Member of Parliament Ashok Nete, who took the initiative to expand railway network in Gadchiroli district, visited the ambitious railway project Wadsa-Gadchiroli and reviewed the progress of the construction work the other day. He assured the railway officials to make the necessary follow up at the government level to remove the problems in the work. He also expressed satisfaction over the ongoing construction.

Mr. Nete visited the different sites of railway works in Wadsa, Kondhala, Armori and inspected the construction. He was accompanied by BJP office bearers and railway engineers. The work of the Wadsa-Gadchiroli railway, which had been stalled for many years, was started with the constant follow-up of Mr. Nete. Expressing confidence that the work would be completed as soon as possible, he said that he was determined to extend the railway to other parts of Gadchiroli district.

Armori MLA Krishna Gajbe, senior BJP leader Motilal Kukreja, Railway Engineer Shivdutt Khandait, Section Engineers R.P. Singh, Narendra Kumar, BJP Taluka President Sunil Pardhi, District Vice President Raju Jethani, Sahakar Aghadi’s Ashish Pipre, Vasant Donadkar, Manik Kohle, Pramod Zilpe, Prakash Nikure, Nilesh Bomanwar, Yogesh Naktode and a large number of citizens and activists were present during this visit.

The 52 km railway line from Wadsa to Gadchiroli will be higher than other railway lines. Therefore, 40 bridges are to be constructed on this route for the wildlife. Wild animals can easily cross under bridges. Due to the construction of these bridges and some difficulties of the forest department, the wires of the main transmission tower line coming into contact with each other are some of the problems that have arisen. In order to solve all these problems, meeting will be held with the ministers of the relevant departments and the senior officials of the railways, Nete assured. Mr. Nete expressed his confidence to get this work done by overcoming the difficulties in this railway line.

Apart from this, two more railway lines have been sanctioned. The Nagbhid-Nagpur broad gauge railway has started and the broad-gauge railway from Gadchiroli to Dhanora, Murumgaon, Bhanupratappur and Narayanpur in Chhattisgarh has also been approved. The survey of this work has been completed. The approval has been obtained for the survey of two other broad-gauge lines, Nete informed.  The survey has been approved for Nagbhid, Kampa-Tempa, Chimur, Warora and another broad-gauge railway from Gadchiroli to Chamorshi, Ashti, Alapalli, Sironcha, Mancherial, Adilabad. This will help in expanding the railway network in Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha constituency, he added.
