Gadchiroli Dec. 6 (District correspondent) Maharashtra State Backward Class Electricity Employees Association (MSBCEEA) Gadchiroli Division had organized awareness meeting and felicitation of active members, office bearers of the Association at Celebration Function Hall here the other day.
The gathering was inaugurated by Mr.S. M. Madavi, Superintending Engineer, MSEDCL, Gadchiroli, by lighting a lamp. Mr. J. S. Patil, National President of Independent Labor Union (ILU) and Chief Adviser of MSBCEEA presided over the programme.
While expressing his opinion, Mr. Madavi mentioned that since capitalists are the enemies of the workers, it is the need of the hour to fight together to face the challenges being posed by the capitalist forces. The strong organization is the only option before the workers, he added.
Mr. J. S. Patil in his presidential speech threw light on the issue of labour movement yesterday, today and tomorrow and called upon the members and office bearers of the Association to increase the membership and strengthen the organization to fight for their problems more effectively. Workers union is an important tool for solving the problems, he stated.
Also, in the guidance session, dignitaries of the central executive gave extensive guidance on various topics. Mr. Dayanand Hadke, Central Vice President spoke on how the worker of the organization should be, Mr. Suryakant Janbandhu highlighted the importance of organizational strength, Ms. Chowdhury, Central Women Representative explained the responsibility of women in organizational work, also Mr. Sanjay More, Central Working President gave detailed guidance on the mission, policy and objectives of the Association, Mr. N. B. Jaronde, National Vice President of ILU gave detailed information on the laws of organized and unorganized sector workers.
As special guests in this gathering Mr. S. S. Dongarwar, Executive Engineer General Distribution Divisional Office Gadchiroli, Mr. S.V. Washimkar, Chandrapur Circle Advisor, C. U. Shedmek, Circle President, Mr. Kunal Patil, Circle Secretary, J. C. Ramteke, Circle Joint Secretary were also mainly present at this programme.
The members, office bearers of the Association from Bramhapuri, Gadchiroli and Alapalli division and workers and officials of organized and unorganized sectors affiliated to Independent Labor Union were present in large numbers. In the presence of all the dignitaries, the active members and office bearers who worked for the growth of the organization and for the rights of the members were felicitated by giving mementos and certificates.
The program was moderated by Mr. J. P. Meshram Divisional Secretary while Vijay Divete Divisional Organizer thanked everyone. At the outset, a huge rally was taken out that started with traditional cultural dance from Indira Gandhi Chowk and proceeded to the venue of the meeting. To make this felicitation ceremony and awareness meeting successful, the office bearers and members of all the three divisions worked tirelessly.
