Gadchiroli Aug. 5 (District Correspondent) The Congress Party and Maha Vikas Aghadi workers celebrated the Supreme court’s stay over the punishment to the senior leader Rahul Gandhi over Modi surname case.
A large number of party workers assembled at the Indira Square of the city under the leadership of Dr. Namdeo Kirsan, General Secretary of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee and shouted slogans in support of Rahul Gandhi. They also beat drums and distributed sweets among the workers and the citizens to express their joy over Rahul Gandhi’s comeback to parliament.
Rahul Gandhi always raised his voice regarding the problems of farmers, laborers, common poor people and other sections of the society. In order to suppress his voice, Mr. Gandhi was punished under the pressure of the BJP government in Gujarat, said Dr. Kirsan while speaking on the occasion.
BJP had hatched this conspiracy through a false complaint to oust Mr. Gandhi from the parliament and stop his voice. But there is still a judicial system in the country, which has thwarted the plans of the BJP and Modi government. The Supreme Court’s judgement of suspension of sentence is a victory of the truth, he pointed out.

BRAMHANWADE –Meanwhile, District Congress President Mahendra bramhanwade has said the suspension of Rahul Gandhi’s punishment is the victory of truth. Gandhi is a leader who always raises his voice against injustice for the benefit of the poor, hardworking farmers and common citizens of the country. He is the source of inspiration for many youths like us. While Rahul Gandhi was constantly raising his voice against the dictatorial policies of the BJP government which was afraid of the unprecedented response to the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the BJP government made a conspiracy to suppress his voice and prevent him from going to the parliament. That is why he was framed in a false case; he said in a statement.
It has been shown that the truth prevails in the end. With this decision, the faith of the common people in the judicial system has become stronger, Bramhanwade commented.
